About Honorary Mayor

This is a FUN fund-raiser. Palm Harbor is not a city and there is no “real” Mayor! CANDIDATES MUST BE ADULT HUMANS AND A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING OF THE PALM HARBOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

About The Candidate

My name is Jake Froehlich, and I’m a proud Navy Seabee veteran, husband, father, and small business owner living right here in beautiful Palm Harbor. I’ve deployed overseas five times to serve our country proudly, and I carry that same sense of duty and purpose into everything I do today.

My wife Brooke and I both served in the Navy—where we met—and we’ve now been married for 12 amazing years. Together, we’re raising two incredible kids who are active in local sports, along with a cat, a dog, and a whole lot of love. We’ve been part of the Palm Harbor community for the past three years and have fully embraced the Florida lifestyle—riding our beach cruisers around town, spending time outdoors hiking or snowboarding (when we get the chance), and always chasing the next adventure. We’re big fans of concerts and travel, and if you caught The Price is Right a while back, you may have even seen me on there! I’ve also applied to be a contestant on Survivor—because why not?

My wife and I are true partners in life and in business. Together we built Scoop Recon 360, a veteran-owned pet waste removal company with a mission bigger than just clean yards. We’re here to serve, give back, and be a positive force in our community. For me, being part of Palm Harbor isn’t just about where we live—it’s about leading with integrity, showing up for others, and doing good whenever and wherever we can.

I’m an active member of the Pinellas County Veterans Association (PCVA) and the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce, working alongside fellow business owners and veterans to make a real impact here at home. My wife and I created the Recon Warrior Fund through our business, where a portion of every service goes directly to veteran-focused nonprofits like K9s for Warriors, Honor Flight of Southwest Florida, and PCVA.

We also stay involved in neighborhood events, local fundraisers, and clean-up efforts because we believe Palm Harbor deserves people who show up. Whether it’s offering steep discounts to those who serve, supporting fellow small businesses, or just lending a hand when a neighbor needs it, community is the mission—and I’m proud to be on the front lines.

About the Cause

The Pinellas County Veterans Association not only supports their local Veterans with proper resources and information but more importantly, they believe in the power of giving back to their communities by donating their time and resources to recognize and preserve the honor and reverence of all of the heroes which have served our country through initiatives, special events, and collaborations with their partners. The money raised for this event will be used to fund the Purple Heart Park of Palm Harbor.
