About Honorary Mayor

This is a FUN fund-raiser. Palm Harbor is not a city and there is no “real” Mayor! CANDIDATES MUST BE ADULT HUMANS AND A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING OF THE PALM HARBOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

About Cindy

Cindy Levarn is a proud Palm Harbor resident, community advocate, and animal lover who is passionate about making a positive impact throughout Pinellas County. She has been married to her husband, Dana, for 15 years, and together they share their home with their beloved dogs, Ziggy and Zuri, who served as the inspiration behind the founding of Fetch Dog Bar.

Cindy and her husband are actively engaged in local events, charitable initiatives, and community activities, always looking for ways to support the people, businesses, and organizations that make Palm Harbor such a special place to live. Their commitment to giving back is matched by their love for the Florida lifestyle, spending their free time enjoying the beaches, exploring the outdoors, and biking the many scenic trails throughout Pinellas County.

As an Honorary Mayor candidate, Cindy is proud to support the mission of Suncoast Animal League, helping raise awareness and funds for the animals and families served by this outstanding local nonprofit. Through her campaign, she hopes to bring the community together around a shared commitment to compassion, service, and making a difference right here in Palm Harbor.

“Community, connection, and compassion are at the heart of everything I do.”

Community Involvement

I am a proud member of the Palm Harbor Moose Lodge, an organization dedicated to supporting local families, youth programs, veterans, and charitable causes. Through my involvement with the Moose Lodge, I participate in a variety of community-focused activities and initiatives that help make a positive impact throughout the Palm Harbor area.

Outside of my involvement with the Moose Lodge, I am passionate about supporting our community through volunteerism, event participation, and local partnerships. I regularly participate in community cleanups, golf cart parades, charitable fundraisers, and other events that bring residents together and celebrate everything that makes Palm Harbor special.

Through Fetch Dog Bar, I am also committed to giving back by sponsoring local events and organizations. Most recently, Fetch Dog Bar sponsored the Red, White & Brew Watch Party benefiting Friends of Palm Harbor Parks and Recreation. I believe strong communities are built through involvement, collaboration, and support for the organizations that enrich the lives of local residents.

Giving back to the community is something I genuinely enjoy, and I am always looking for opportunities to support causes, events, and organizations that help Palm Harbor continue to thrive.

About the Cause

Suncoast Animal League is a Palm Harbor-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, abused, homeless, and unwanted animals. Founded in 2006, the organization operates as a no-kill, no-time-limit rescue, ensuring that every animal in its care receives the medical treatment, shelter, socialization, and compassion needed until a permanent home is found.

In addition to caring for dogs and cats, Suncoast Animal League also rescues and rehabilitates wildlife. The organization relies heavily on foster families, volunteers, community support, and fundraising efforts to continue its lifesaving work. Each year, Suncoast Animal League helps place approximately 1,600 to 1,800 companion animals into loving homes and rehabilitates and releases more than 1,000 injured or orphaned wildlife back into their natural habitats.

For nearly two decades, Suncoast Animal League has been a vital resource for animal welfare in the Tampa Bay area, promoting responsible pet ownership while giving thousands of animals a second chance at life.
